This board IS READ ONLY ARCHIVE, the CURRENT IT'SHAPPENING BOARD is at http://www.wincoast.com/forum/index.php The PURPOSE of It's Happening: What we are here for: "It's Happening" is intended to serve as a free unrestricted support forum for ALL men and women around the world that either suffer from a deregulation of normal thought process due to mental illness, mental imbalance, stress, emotional overload, or have a family member, a friend, an enemy, a community member, a government leader, or acquaintance that suffers a disruption of normal thought process and triggers an internal need to express or 'vent" frustration, or delusion which ever is most applicable. This forum provides a platform in which ALL people may openly express rage, sadness, upset, joy, depression, lightbulbs, in a predominately non-moderated uncensored platform with other men and women that may also be experiencing the same, albeit opposite, frustration with the events in their own lives, or the world around them without fear of retaliation for the manner in which they choose to express their inward hostility, turmoil, elation, insanity, etc. This forum is NOT for profit and subsides solely on donation of time and money by a few impartial benefactors who only have interest in forwording a safe environment in which abborent behavior may be shared in a more benign atmosphere absent of actual physically violent interpersonal contact. Our only request is that posters and visitors please be over age 21 years because the frustration expressed by many of the posters may not be suitable for younger viewers. To repeat and clarify: This is a Free Mental Health Oriented Support Forum and due to the sometimes disturbing nature of various manifestations of thought disruption, Children ARE NOT WELCOME. As this IS A "TOURETTE'S" FRIENDLY WEB FORUM. Those that donate the time, servers, web space etc, are not and CANNOT be reasonably expected to be responsable for the content of the posts made by the mentally disoriented individuals that frequent this free mental health support forum. All Removal requests for illegal posts can be sent to the "customer service" link below. Or the contact listed on the main board with proof of copyright infringement, personal data posted, terroristic threats, etc and will be viewed as a priority especially in matters of threats to public safety. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q1) What is this board's purpose? A1) The purpose of this board is to gather a diversity of opinion relating to the current events of the world today, thereby improving the understanding of differing worldviews from around the globe.This board is worldwide and allthough we realize everyone will not always get along we expect that everyone will debate in a civil manor Q2) Can anyone post here? A2) Any adult over the age of 18 is welcome to express his/her view or opinion regarding any topic on this forum. Children are not welcome to register on ItsHappening and will be removed from the member list. Q3) Is this board moderated? A3) Yes it is,Allthough We are not interested in stifling opinions, restricting viewpoints, or any other type of censorship. However, there are instances in which moderator intervention is required. Examples would be the posting of any illegal content such as Child Pornography and Beastiality. Posting of another poster’s personal information is also expressly forbidden. Flagrant, repeated trolling of another poster, spam, and posts that in no way, shape or form fit into the guidelines of the forum they are posted in also fall into this category. Q4) There must be some rules, so what are they? A4) Yes, we do have some rules. While we will normally ban almost no one, we can, and will ban those who flagrantly disregard these few guidelines. We will not tolerate unsolicited advertisements (SPAM). If you want a link to your website, post it in the "POST A LINK" area. We do not tolerate cut-and-pasting the same 'article' to multiple threads. (this means post it once,if it doesnt get replies, move on to something else DO NOT post it again) Nor will we tolerate Cut and paste articles posted without a link to the ORIGINAL source,there are copyright laws which MUST be obeyed when posting someone elses material. We will not tolerate overtly abusive behavior directed at any individual. It is perfectly fine to disagree with someone’s views, but please disagree intelligently. We realize that flames are a part of internet life, but they are not the defining characteristic of this forum and constant abuse will not be tolerated. This board is a current events discussion board. Please keep subject matter relative to current events, except in the "NON SPECIFIC BABBLE" and "Pointless Rambling" sections where you can post off topic threads. No posting illegal material, I.E. child porn, bestiality, etc, user will be banned and material will be reported. Do not repeatedly create pointless threads, or multiple threads on the same topic. Don’t post a new thread every time a thought with a vowel in it happens to unwillingly meander into your brain. Try to post within an existing thread. Start new threads when the view you want to express CANNOT be posted within the already existing threads. Children ARE NOT welcome to post here if you are not at least 18 years old your account will be deleted. This is not so much as a rule but a firm request. Please respond to posts of opposite opinion with intelligence and respect. Racial hatred is contagious and bigoted remarks become sickening and serve no purpose but to spread ignorance. If you are too mentally deficient to respond in a reasonably coherent manner, then please DO NOT respond at all. Q5) Is it OK to Copy and Paste articles from somewhere else, or link to them? A5) It is perfectly acceptable to copy n paste content, or link to content from another source in effort to support a view or opinion you are expressing. However repeatedly copying and pasting the same message to multiple arbitrary threads is not tolerated and violators WILL be banned. When copying an article, fair use rights apply. You must give the link to the original article and credit the author. Q6) Is there someone I could contact for support? A6) That depends on what sort of ‘support’ you require. There is quite a bit of help available from board members. Try searching the forum first for the answer to your questions or even post a thread in the "Non Specific Babble" section to ask for assistance. However, be advised, we will not be held responsible for any “advice” you receive on these forums, be it computer related, personal, or anything else. If you are calling to report trolling, flaming, cussing, or anything else of the sort, expect a busy signal. Our moderators watch for rules violations. If they haven’t already acted on it, chances are that we simply don’t care. On the other hand, if you see illegal material posted, such as kiddie porn, bestiality pictures, credit card information, or any other personal material protected by law, please use the post reporting feature.
